Double Success at the National Energy Awards 2026

The National Energy Awards (NEA) 2026 Awards night was recently held on 11^th August 2026 in Kuala Lumpur. We are delighted to share that our 2 submissions have been awarded the following recognition:

1. Great Eastern Mall and Menara Great Eastern – WINNER, of Energy Efficient Building, Retrofitted Building Category.
   

2. One Shell Square Miri – RUNNER UP, of Energy Efficient Building, Large Green Building Category. Read more about this project here.

For both of these projects, IEN Consultants provided solutions not just only on the green building certification strategy, but we were very much involved in the optimized energy design as well as building commissioning and fine-tuning.

The National Energy Awards or NEA in short, which started in 2018, is a strategic endeavour by the Malaysian Government that aims to recognize and reward industry players who have demonstrated leadership in implementing sustainable energy practices which hopefully will encourage more organizations to adopt sustainable energy practices.

Additionally, the top 2 winners of each category are submitted to the ASEAN Energy Awards to showcase Malaysian innovation and expertise.
