Innovative Designs in Zero Energy Buildings


IEN (Gregers) was invited by the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) to give a 1-hour talk on "Innovative Designs in Zero Energy Buildings" as part of their webinar on renewable energy forging the path to sustainability. The presentation gives several interesting case study examples of novel climatic designs for both residential and commercial office buildings, with innovative technologies ranging from passive cooling from the ground and from the night sky to active cooling, passive glare-free daylight systems to using active cooling systems such as embedding PEX pipes in the concrete slabs hereby using thermally activated building systems (TABS). Great to see the great interest among the 370 attendees during the Q&A session. The slides are available for download:
