IPC Shopping Center Upgrade

Located in the shopping district of the Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre (MDCC), the community-centric shopping destination, IPC Shopping Centre is a five-storey shopping centre operated by Ikano Corporation Sdn.Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of IKEA Southeast Asia under the Ikano Group, Sweden. The shopping centre was first established in 2003 and attracts approximately 15 million visitors annually.

In 2018, the shopping centre underwent a major facelift which involved significant upgrades to the interior layout, mechanical & electrical systems, improvements to existing landscaped areas, upgrade to building life safety systems and incorporation of green design elements and features that reflect Ikano’s long term commitment to sustainability.

Motion sensors at all non-regularly occupied areas
Timer controlled lighting to accomodate lighting during non-operational hours
Efficient water cooled centrifugal chiller (average system COP of 4.6 - actual)
Variable Speed AHU motors
Temperature & RH sensors in all tenant spaces to avoid overcooling
Chilled water PIBCV Valves
VSD for Chilled Water Pumps & Cooling Towers
283m3 Rainwater Harvesting system
499kWp of rooftop solar panels which offsets 3.6% of the shopping centres total electricity consumption.
Low flow water fittings in line with the shopping centres Water Efficiency Economic Assessment Policy
