Consultant
Austin completed his internship at AECOM as an environmental consultant trainee and started his career as a Green Building Consultant. Due to his keen interest, he pursued a part time Master's degree in Renewable Energy at University of Malaya (UM). With knowledge in both Energy Supply (academic) and Energy Demand (work), he understands that it is crucial to find a balance point in this relationship in order to have a sustainable development of energy in Malaysia.
Austin joined IEN Consultants in 2019 and has been focusing on solar photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) system, radiant cooling system, rainwater harvesting system, building thermal transfer, indoor/outdoor thermal comfort, daylighting and phase I/II environmental site assessment (ESA). He has great interest in passive building design & computational building simulations. At IEN Consultants, he has the opportunity to manage various types of project, from small- to large-scale, including private bungalow, community centre, toll plaza, service apartment, office tower, hotel, shopping mall and hospital.
Austin is also an active member of Green Drinks KL and the Learning Affiliate Team Lead of Energy Institute Malaysia.
