Chris Richardson
Consultant
Christopher graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Energy Engineering with Environmental Management from The University of East Anglia, United Kingdom. He started his career as a PV system design engineer at ERS Energy, where he engineered a diverse range of residential, commercial, and industrial solar energy projects across Malaysia and Indonesia.
Driven by a growing passion for sustainable building design, he transitioned into Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD) consulting, first at Green Quarter in Malaysia, and subsequently at GreenA Consultants in Singapore.
Over the course of his 5-year career, Christopher has specialized in both PV system design and various green building certification frameworks, including the Green Building Index (GBI), GreenRE, Green Mark, and EDGE. Some of his noteworthy projects include a zero-energy office building featuring rooftop PV and a Building-Integrated PV (BIPV) façade, as well as a Super Low Energy (SLE) logistics hub and a port operations maintenance base in Tuas, Singapore.
Christopher joined IEN Consultants in 2026. In this role, he continues to utilise his background in green building standards and PV systems while expanding his capabilities in building simulations, with the goal of delivering precise, data-driven solutions to complex environmental challenges in the built environment.
