Darren graduated with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Multimedia University, Melaka. Due to his interest in sustainability, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Clean Technology from Newcastle University which equipped him with relevant skills and knowledge on climate adaptation and mitigation, green and energy policies, and renewable energy.

Prior to joining IEN consultants in early 2022, Darren was working in a carbon management and consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur. He is experienced with GHG assessment and reporting, development and managing of carbon offset (carbon credit) projects as well as renewable energy certificates (RECs). He was also serving in-house, providing consultation for the mother company and preparing sustainability report, focusing on energy consumption and GHG emissions.

He believes that by designing buildings to be green and healthy will help humans adapt and more resilient towards the irreversible climate impacts.
