3 Awards at FIABCI-Malaysia Award 2021

IEN is delighted to see three of our projects win the Malaysia Property Award (FIABCI) last night. Our three award winning projects are:

  1. Gamuda Garden (Environmental category)

  2. KL Eco City (Mixed Development category)

  3. Wisma Mercedes-Benz (Purpose-built category)

This was the 30th year of the Malaysia Property Award (FIABCI), which has the 13 award categories shown below:

Our projects won in 3 out of 13 categories

The Malaysia Property Award (FIABCI) recognizes the excellence in property development regardless of the size and location of the projects. This award is considered the gold standard for distinguished developers in the real estate industry. The award provides a platform for pioneers and leaders in real estate to showcase their best and creations.


Below is a short description of our three winning projects:

Mindfully fusing lifestyle with nature, the 810-acre Gamuda Gardens in Northern Klang Valley is a story of holistic rehabilitation and regeneration. Formerly an abandoned monoculture rubber plantation that lacked flora and fauna, it has today been transformed into a sought-after township with a thriving and biodiverse ecosystem.

Outdoor thermal comfort simulation studies


KL Eco City, a 25-acre integrated mixed-use development (approx. 7.6 million square meters), is situated along Jalan Bangsar, next to Mid Valley City and surrounded by established commercial precincts. This integrated mixed-use and transit-oriented development is also anchored by commercial offices, luxury residential towers, lifestyle retail outlets and a chic business class hotel.


IEN Consultants involvement: Green masterplan + green building certification of all parcels, a mix of Green Building Index (GBI) Malaysia, LEED, BCA Green Mark as well as GreenRE certification


Wisma Mercedes-Benz is built by Hap Seng Land Development Sdn Bhd, it housed the HQ of Mercedes-Benz, workshop, training center and learning academy.
