IEN was invited to give a presentation on the energy efficient design of the KLIA2 airport at the High-Level Conference Design Catalogue for NZEB (Green Airports) on 1 December 2021. Download slides here:
The conference comes under the Energy Partnership Programme between Indonesia and Denmark. The governments of Indonesia and The Energy Agency together with the Danish Embassy in Jakarta under the Partnership Program for Indonesia (INDODEPP) have made an agreement to work on capacity building on Net Zero and Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and also to produce a design catalogue on the principles for NZEB in large public and commercial buildings.
One of the outputs of the program is to set up a Design Catalogue with a focus on the design of NZEB suitable for the climate in Indonesia. The broad definition of a NZEB is a building with very high energy performance where the nearly zero or very low amount of energy required should be extensively covered by renewable energy.
